My visual arts practice is diverse.
I work with ancient techniques and materials - fibers & fabrics, encaustic paints, mosaics, and gourds. I work with contemporary techniques and materials - digital photography, digital video, inkjet and laser printers and interactive (web) design.

I tell stories. Stories entertain and inform. Story provides context and context aids understanding. Story is central to human existence, to our self- and other-awareness. Story is how we remember our realities.

I work at being sustainable in my practice and my life.

Most people I know talk about sustainability in regard to the environment. I think that is a rather narrow path to walk. Sustainable living involves more than just dealing with environmental issues.
